From the top imported dogs from Germany...

The other day I was driving by the park near my house. I saw the most beautiful, proud looking German Shepherd I had ever seen.
As I looked closer, I noticed it was one of the puppies from Axel and Sammy. This pup was born June 1, 06.

An outstanding dog. The color, the size, the attitude. Simply stunning.

If you would like one of the puppies directly imported from Germany, please call me. I would be happy to talk with you further.

eyes wide open!

I tried for 30 minutes to pose the pups, but there was no way. These little rascals are nearly walking (two are fully walking) and barking. Oh so cute!

This is the best shot I could get at the moment. We'll try again tomorrow.

puppy love

What a busy couple of weeks it has been! The puppies already have their eyes open and are staggering around. The two near solid black puppies are males and very cute. Although they are showing signs of excellent grip already (on a finger-ouch).
Photos are coming this week, so check back.
We're doing glam shots of the pups (oh just kidding) on Wednesday.

Been there, done that.

Sammy is absolutely the best mom ever. She has now given birth to a total of five little fluff balls and I have a feeling more will be coming soon.

All five are extremely healthy looking, moving and wriggling around mom's fur.

I think she's taking a well deserved break and maybe it's time for me to relax as well!

Puppies Appear!!!

Three beautiful, strong puppies have appeared so far! They are noisy, crawling and according to Alyssa, one was rolling around playing already. Not sure of that, but they are cute!!!

More later as they grace the Shepherd family!

Today is the day!!!

At 12 noon today (Sunday), the Shepherd family welcomed their first pup. Beautiful, solid black (so far) and trying to move all around all ready.
Sammy is used to this and is taking it all in stride. The rest of us though are running around getting towels, washing the car (who knows why) and trying to act normal.
It's not really working so far.

Sammy knows what she is doing and I think looks at the rest of waiting for us to realize that.

She's a great mom.

You cannot force mother nature.

I have decided that no matter what is going on in one's life, the world stops when puppies are on their way.
Nothing else seems to phase me right now as I am amazed at how this beautiful German Shepherd appears to be incredibly happy despite her "condition".

Sammy is the ultimate mom. She loves to be pregnant, loves her babies and truly enjoys giving every ounce of her energy to them.

I went out once again with her to look at the moon. Her eyes were lit up, her belly gigantic and as she tried desperately to scratch an itch on her neck with her back paw, I realized how simple life can be.

I reached over and scratched her itch for her. She looked up at me with those big brown eyes and I knew tonight could be the night.

I cannot wait!!!!

Full moon might be the night!

We are howling at the full moon tonight and the excitement is in the air! Sammy is acting goofy, digging and generally looking like she is about to have babies!!!

The Shepherd family and I went out to the backyard tonight (about five minutes ago) and enjoyed a fabulous moon, with a gorgeous night sky.

I cannot sleep, cannot stop pacing and waiting in anticipation of the big moment!

My daughter and I have a pool going as to how many puppies she will have. I say 10, she says 12. Let's hope we're both wrong. ;-)

Puppy world

Axel and Sammy were lucky to have adorable puppies!

Axel and Sammy only wanted the best for their little bundles of joy, so they insisted on the pups being raised in the house in this whelping box. Thanks to a good friend for building it!

Our puppies playing with a bowl of ice. Great fun!

Axel and Sammy puppy at four months old

Stevie loves his owner Scott, and they are best pals. Stevie was named after Tiger Woods golf caddie, as Scott is an avid golfer. Stevie plays all day on his property and eagerly awaits his owner and best friends arrival.

Scott is extremely happy with his choice and would be happy to let you know more about his experiences with Stevie.

This picture was taken at four months old. This is the transition time for a German Shepherd before they grow into their ears and paws.

Welcome to Axel and Sammy's blog...

Here is Axel with Jason at Schutzhund training in Hawaii. Axel's full name is Harry Von Der Lutter. He is a Sch3. Click on the direct link to his pedigree on the right. He is great with kids and an excellent home protection dog.
